In loving memory of Marie Rose Noella Albert nee Lapierre who passed away at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury at the age of 85. Former spouse of Henry Albert, daughter of Damase and Laurette Lapierre and sister of Edgar Lapierre (all predeceased) (wife Shirley). Mother of Kim Hynes (Glenn) of Sudbury and Denis Albert (Shari) of Barrie. Cherished grandmother of Alexander Hynes and Christopher Albert. Rose began her working life in broadcasting as a receptionist, librarian, and eventually managing the newsroom for a local French radio station. In her mid-30s, she returned to school to study and eventually work in the field of social work. She further obtained a nursing degree in her late-40s and, in 1999, she retired from the Sudbury Algoma Hospital where she worked as an addiction counsellor and registered nurse. Rose had a great passion for politics, reading, and all animals, especially cats. At Rose’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation is entrusted to the Co-operative Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Lasalle Cemetery in Sudbury. Donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
