Obituary of Ron Smith
Ron passed away suddenly at QHC-Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, on Monday, July 11, 2022. Ron Smith of Verona in his 70th year. Precious son of Norma Smith of Belleville and the late Earle Smith. Beloved husband of Ingrid (nee Kristalyn) Smith of Verona. Proud Father of Brad (Amanda) Smith of Inverary and Mike (Brigitte) Smith of Kelowna, BC. Adored grandpa to Liam, Lochlan, Lawson, Aksel, Ajax, Nixon and Kingsley. Dear brother of Linda-Beth (John) Attewell of Verona and Earla (Paul) Hill of Bloomfield. Brother-in-law of Bill (Joanne) Kristalyn and John (Christine) Kristalyn both of Wellington. He is predeceased by his sister-in-law, Mary Lloyd (Bruce Lloyd surviving). Ron will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, July 19 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Both the visitation and service will be held at the Douglas Memorial Centre, Wesley Acres Camp, 1391 Wesley Acres Rd, Bloomfield. The family encourage casual attire. Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, Belleville (613-968-2273).
If desired, Memorial Donations to Wesley Acres Camp or to Harrowsmith Free Methodist Church would be appreciated by the family.
