Ronald Wesley George
“Black Eagle Who Flies High”
July 26, 1961 – January 1, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the of passing Ronald Wesley George on January 1, 2022.
Wes was born July 25, 1961, in Whitewood Saskatchewan to Ronald George (Kampee) and Mable Shavetail. Wes was the 4th child in family of 13 children.
He will be welcomed by paternal grandparents Alec and Claira George and maternal grandparents Georgina Kequahtooway and Robert Shavetail as well as both parents Ronald and Mable George, sister Lila, and brothers Darcy and Owen.
Wes is lovingly remembered by his children Shaya (Christopher), Chad (Glance), Toonsie (Anthony), Bailey (Jamie), Wyatt, Eloria, and Ellianna.
Wes was a wonderful mushum to his grandchildren and will be missed. His grandchildren always looked forward to his visits, cheering from the stands from varies sporting events, and his sense of humour. He leave behind his grandchildren Leighton, Tyhia, Tayvien, Maria, Hendrix, Blakey, Kelby, Cian, Mav, Hudson, and Mateo.
Wes leaves behind his siblings to cherish his memory Robert (Karen) Darryl (Dianne) Gerald, Alex (Venus) Tracy, Randy, Tim, Jolene, and Les (Martina).
Wake will be held Friday January 7, 2022 beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex, Ochapowace Nation. Funeral Service will be held the following day, Saturday January 8, 2022 beginning with a Traditional Feast at 10:00 a.m. Followed by service, in the same location. COVID-19 masking protocols will apply. He will be laid to rest in eth Ochapowace Cemetery, Ochapowace Nation.
Children are a gift from the Creator, therefore the family asks for no children to be in attendance.
The family would like to give a special thanks the Regina General Medical Intensive Care Unit Medical nurses and Doctors for their devoted care.
