Ronald “Bob” Cross was born to Martin and Mary Kross on Aug 27, 1934, in Smeaton Sk. He was a lifelong farmer and road construction worker. Bob had a great love of animals and being on the farm in nature. Nothing made him smile like having a new calf on the farm or a new batch of kittens to snuggle.
He was a very social man always ready with a story to tell anyone who would listen. From visiting with the neighbour and family to meeting people he knew at the stockyards, restaurant, or Sports days. Bob always made sure if there was a sports day or an auction sale he was there.
Bob married Elise Soderholm on Nov 6, 1965, in Naicam Sk because the stove in the Dalton church blew up that morning. They had three children Karl, Edwin and Ada. Bob lost the love of his life on July 20th, 2003.
Bob will be remembered by his siblings Pearl Riksen, Caren Christerson, James (Edna) Cross, Joyce (Jerry) Lafontaine, Irma Shelke, Lillian Soderholm, and sister-in-law Ann Kross. His children Karl (Fran), Edwin and Ada (John) Nakonieczny. Grandchildren Jason, Rachel, Benjamin, James, Shelby, Veronica, Jessica, Kyle, Branden (Nicole), Tyler (Holly) and Samantha. As well as Great Grandchildren Madisyn, Jaxxon, and Kitana as well as a Future Great grandchild. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his siblings Delia Kross, Floyd Cross, Ramond Kross, Jessie (Bill) Rate, Junice (Armond) Nobes, Doris (Billy) Hiebert, Morris Kross, Frances Cross. Brother in law’s Barend Riksen, Oscer Christerson, Fred Shelke, and Karl Gustva Soderholm.
