VANBESIEN, (Ron) Ronald Michael (August 5, 1953 – May 30, 2022) –
It is with sadness, that we the VanBesien family, announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Ronald (Ron) Michael VanBesien, on Monday, May 30th, 2022, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, in his 69th year. Ron is survived by his much-loved wife of 49 years, Debra (Vandendriessche) VanBesien, of Straffordville. They were proud Cultus area turkey farmers for several years. Later Ron worked at Canadian Tire, in Delhi. Former member of the Long Point Lions Club. Above all else, Ron was a proud and caring father, father-in-law, and grandfather to: Stephanie VanBesien (Jason Davis), of Tillsonburg and their son Tucker; Stephen (Christine) VanBesien, of London and their children Alyssa, Jocelyn, and Kylie. Caring brother and brother-in-law to Charlie VanBesien (Mary), of Burford; Willy VanBesien (Barb), of Norwich (Willy’s late first wife Rosie); Lillian (late John) Keirsebilck, of LaSalette; Chrisona “Chrissy” Rosehart, of Tillsonburg; late Marius (2020) (surviving wife Mary Anne VanBesien), of RR5 Langton. Also survived by Marion Masschaele (late Marcel), of Tillsonburg and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also predeceased by his father Gustaf, his mother Madeleine (Vansevenant), and his brother Donald.
In keeping with Ron’s expressed wishes, a private family viewing and farewell has been held, followed by cremation. All who knew Ron are invited to attend a public visitation on Friday, June 3rd, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. A private family funeral liturgy will follow in the chapel at 12:00 noon. Later inurnment will take place in Sacred Heart R.C Cemetery Columbarium Wall.
