Obituary
Ron Ludwig of Minnedosa passed away January 21st at Minnedosa at the age of 65.
He was born in Oxbow and raised on a farm with his twin brother Roy, sisters Fran, Norma, and Denise in Lampman Saskatchewan. In 1978 he was accepted into the RCMP training at Regina. Ron spent over 28 years in the force, all in Manitoba at 9 different postings. Jenpeg, Wabowden, Grand Rapids, Morris, Whitemouth, Virden, The Pas, Brandon, then Minnedosa where he retired. He married Georgie in June 1988 in Virden and while in The Pas he had two boys Brock (1989) and Casey (1991).
During his posting in Minnedosa Ron met Lauri, and in 2006 they married. During their time together they enjoyed travelling both locally and afar, going out with family and friends, and the births of their grandchildren. His grand kids and grand dogs brought him great joy. Ron always had a soft spot for animals.
During his retirement, he enjoyed driving school bus for the rolling river school division, going for coffee with friends, and going to various sports events with his boys.
His love of hockey took him on trips all over North America. Although often he would miss out on some of the game, stopping to chat with the many people he knew. Ron wasn’t the shy type. He made a friend out of everyone he met. Ron loved most sports, but football was his passion. He was an avid Roughrider fan, everyone who knew him knew he bled green.
He enjoyed his annual fishing trips with his friends at Paint Lake and his in-laws at Reid Lake.
He was predeceased by his mother Alice and father Bill, brothers-in-law Jacob and Murray
He was survived by wife Lauri, sons Brock (Michelle), Casey (Leah), step-children Kristen (Arlen), Stefan, Caitlin (Colin) grandchildren Ellie Mae, Caleb, and Annalia, siblings Fran, Norma (Denis), Denise, Roy (Denise) as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.at the Minnedosa Community Conference Centre, Minnedosa, MB
Due to Provincial Public Health Orders, proof of vaccination is required before entry into theMinnedosa Community Conference Centre.
