Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald (Ron) Jenkins on Friday April 1st, 2022, with his loving family by his side at Andy’s House Hospice, Port Carling, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Ron was the beloved and devoted husband of Christine for 36 years. Cherished and loving father of Mackenzie (Shannon) and Alex. Dear brother of Derek (Pat), Randy (Madeline), and Laurie. Brother-in-law to Tim (Marilyn) Graham, Lee Ann (John) Sitarz, and Andy (Leanne) Graham. Ron was also the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Ron loved spending time in Magnetewan and had a love for nature. The outdoors was a top priority for him, as well as any animal. It was said many times that there has never been an animal that did not love Ron.
While raising his family in Bracebridge, many will remember Ron as “Mr. Sears” having worked at Sears Bracebridge for years. After retirement, Ron drove taxi and was well known for his wonderful sense of humour and his genuine kindness to all.
Ron will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many.
Cremation has taken place and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Andy’s House – Hospice Muskoka (www.hospicemuskoka.com/andys-house) or OSPCA Muskoka (ontariospca.ca/muskoka/) would be greatly appreciated and may be arranged through Reynolds Funeral Home.
