Every Life…is a story
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the age of 89.
Loving husband of the late Suzanne (Cousineau) Venne. Loving father of Louis, Francine and Monique Boudreau (Michel). Cherished grand-father to Philippe (Joelle), Daniel (Danica), Gabrielle (Mike), Mariève (Andrew) and Alexandre. Great-great Grandfather to Aidan and Emma.
Dear son of the late Valentine (Rancourt) and Albert Venne. Dear brother to Jacqueline Monette (André). He is predeceased by his brothers Ernest, René, Roland (Cécile Carrière), Father Victor Venne, Edgar, Albert, Ovila (Rachelle Rainville), Jacques and his sisters, Gertrude Gauthier (Rhéal) and Sister Irène Venne. He also leaves behind, three sisters-in-law, Anne (Lahaie), Laurence (Lamarche) and Claudette (Hudebrine) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Roméo and Suzanne (64 years married) settled in the small town of Val-Thérèse on Tremblay Street where they raised their three children. Roméo Worked at INCO (Vale) for 41 years. He was a humble man. He was a man of many responsibilities but his most rewarding one was being a grand-father. He was loved by all who knew him. His smile, calm and friendly disposition was infectious. He was generous, hardworking, sincere, respectable and especially grateful for any act of kindness.
Other than his love and commitment to his family, Roméo had other loves…a strong faith in his God as well as for St-Anne, he was also very proud of his Country, his Canadian flag, his francophone heritage and especially for his everlasting support and loyalty to the Montreal Canadians…GO HABS GO!
May his soul rest in peace. His physical absence along with our family whistle will be incredibly missed, but our abundance of memories will forever live in our hearts.
We love you Dad – give Mom a big hug. Now, reunited forever!
A big thank you to the staff at Lasalle Residence for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Maison McCulloch Hospice (or any other charities of your choice) which can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
