In Loving Memory
Mr. Roger August Cloet, formerly of Delhi , passed away peacefully in Goderich in his 95th year. Roger was born in Belgium January 1, 1926 and arrived in Canada as a 2-year-old with his caring and very young uncle Jules, after a long ocean journey. Loving father of David Cloet (Dianne Bakos) of Goderich, Kerry Cloet (Lynn Bossy) of Brantford , and Gregory Cloet of Brantford . Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and great grandfather to 21 great grandchildren. Predeceased in 2018 by his beloved wife of 70 years, Nora Rose Cloet (nee Vanwynsberghe), parents Joseph and Maria Cloet, brother Joseph Cloet, sisters Glenda Boerkamp and Mary Grace Brunt, and grandson Aaron Cloet. Roger will be lovingly and respectfully remembered by his family, friends and neighbours, his many new friends at Goderich Place , and by many former students of Delhi District Secondary School to whom Mr. Cloet taught Science throughout his career. The family would like to thank the staff at Goderich Place Retirement Home, and the medical professionals at Stratford and Goderich hospitals for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Service will be held with Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery . Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice can be made at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi 519-582-1290 and would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
