Obituary of Roger Blain Reed
Roger Blain Reed
March 26, 1956 – April 12, 2022
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our loving father and husband, Roger Reed, who passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2022.
Roger will be forever missed and loved by his girls; Angela Geris (Adam) and Sarah Reed (Kyle) and his spouse Barb Paquette. Predeceased by his parents Blain and Joy Reed and “the best big brother” Dwayne Reed (Nora). Fondly remembered by his nephews David (Katrien) and Paul (Melanie); and their children Ben and Ella, Conner and Charlotte and stepchildren Brian (Elmira), Christine (Bryce), and David (Cheryl) and step grandchildren, Aria and Colton. Roger also leaves behind many close personal friends who will miss him dearly.
Roger spent his entire life in Gananoque. He touched the hearts of many and was known to be an honest, dependable, and caring man. Roger was a well-known and respected carpenter, who took great pride in his work. He was often called upon by his daughters and extended family, to complete never ending projects and renovations, which he thoroughly enjoyed. In his spare time, you could find Roger on the links at the Colonnade Golf & Country Club with the “Golf Gang”. If he wasn’t on the golf course, you could find him and Barb out cruising in his cherished Chevy Truck or “the Vette”.
Roger will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. His friendly chuckles and warm demeanor will remain in their hearts forever.
The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in our chapel on Thursday April 21 at 11:00 am. A Reception will follow at the Colonnade Golf and Country Club.
In lieu of flowers donations made to the Gananoque and District Humane Society or to the Leeds and Grenville Addictions for Mental Health would be appreciated by the family.
