GUACA, Rogelio Alilin
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rogelio, in the comfort of his home on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the age of 80. Rogelio was born on September 10, 1941 in Consolacion, Cebu, Philippines to Calixta Alilin and Buenaventura Guaca. He immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1973 and was a loving and devoted husband to Evelyn for 48 years, and much loved father to Janet Coronel and Carolyn (Dave) Ferdinand. He was a proud Lolo to Layla, Kaelyn, Serena, Mackensie and Charli and he loved his grandchildren dearly. Rogelio was middle of six siblings, dear brother of the late Alejandro, the late Generoso, Teofista, Apolinaria, Salome and Camilo. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many lifelong friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel , 2058 Kipling Avenue, Etobicoke (north of Rexdale Blvd). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11 AM at Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish (45 Ludstone Drive, Etobicoke). Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Woodbridge. If desired, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
