The death of Joseph “Rodrigue” Elzear Savoie of Dunlop, NB, occurred on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 75. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of Jeanne (Thériault) Savoie of Baie Ste. Anne, NB and the late Grégoire Savoie. Rodrigue was a very proud Auto body repair man, who enjoyed spending time with his family and he had a great love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His eyes and smile would light up whenever he talked or saw them. He would always be teasing or joking with someone. He always made time to attend all special events in the lives of his family; birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and funerals, etc.
Besides his mother, Rodrigue is survived by his children: Lucie Hachey of Bathurst, NB; Marco Savoie (Kim) of Miramichi, NB; Mélanie Hachey (Robin) of Robertville, NB; sister: Elzéa Manuel (Adrien) of Baie Ste. Anne, NB; brothers: Patrice (Brenda), Fred (Arlene) all of Baie Ste. Anne, NB; Michel (Pauline) of Aldouane, NB; Luc (Paulette) of Pointe-Sapin, NB; grandchildren: Max Hachey, Lexie Hachey, Gregory Savoie, Emilie Savoie, Kaleb Hachey, Éllie Hachey; great grandchildren: Aubrey Savoie, Briar Savoie, Ivy Irving and Sky McKay as well as the mother of his children: Hélène Brown of Bathurst, NB.
Besides his father, Rodrigue is predeceased by his brother Yves.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A funeral mass and burial will be held at a later date in Baie Sainte-Anne, NB.
