Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on June 14, 2022 at age 51 years. Predeceased by mother-in-law and father-in-law: Madeline and Wilson Barnes and brother-in-law: Anthony Barnes. Left with fond and loving memories his wife of 23 years Stephanie, daughters: Emma (Daniel) and Nancy, mother and father: Margaret and Donald, brother: Barry (Debbie), sister-in-law: Kim (Franklin), nieces: Amanda, Sabrina, Krista and Annabelle, nephews: Michael, Eric, Colin, best friend: Jason Penney (Charlene) and fur companion and best friend Harley, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm. Funeral service will take place on Friday, June 24th, 2022 at a time to be announce from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Topsail Interment in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery. My deepest condolences to Stephanie, Emma, Nancy, Harley, Rod’s parents and all who knew and loved him. I had so much respect for Rod for so many reasons….i used to ask him how can someone be so nice and so saucy at the same time?! He was a very good man that left the world too soon. May your many wonderful memories and your love see you through this incredibly sad time. RIP my friend.
