Robert Paul Gargan
June 22, 1963 – March 28, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Robbie” Paul Gargan, aged 58, on March 28, 2022, in QEII Hospital. Left with fond and loving memories are his father, William ”Billy”; daughter, Kirsten (Tyler Hill); sisters, Kim and Dawn (Derrick) Shillington; brother, Billy, nephews, Devin, Kylie and Ryan; grand niece, Raven; a grandchild on the way. He was predeceased by his partner, Jean Gray; mother, Myrna (Boyd); grandparents, Eleanor (Hooper) and Eugene Bramnick, Richard Boyd and Helen (Starratt); cousins, Corrine and Dean.
Robbie grew up in Bedford, NS. He had many, many lifelong friends, some going back to primary, you all know who you are. He loved hockey, and played for many years, it was one of his great loves. Robbie especially loved going to Moosehead games with his father. He chose many different career paths over the years, and he excelled at them all. He was crazy about his cats; they were everything to him. Robbie was a real character, and his family and friends could tell you many stories about Robbie. I’m sure a few stories have been shared in the last few days. Anyone who came to know him won’t forget him. He will be forever missed and forever loved.
A special thanks his roommate, Stephen who supported Robbie during his time of need. We’d like to thank the doctors and nurses in Emerg for their amazing work, always. Interment will take place with a family graveside service at Brookside Community Cemetery, Wardour Street, Bedford, NS.
