Robert Melvin Crothers February 23rd 2022

CROTHERS, R. Mel
August 1, 1946 – February 23, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mel Crothers announces his unexpected but peaceful passing at the age of 75. We wish to thank the doctors and nurses at the Foothills Hospital for their compassionate care of our beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Mel will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Pat Crothers; his daughters, Kathy (Joe) Cordes of Lethbridge and Karen (Doug) Strand of Airdrie; his grandchildren, Owen Cordes, Wyatt Cordes, Morgan Strand, Raelyn Strand and Grant Strand; his sister, Rosemary (Sam) Anderson; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mel will be remembered for his high moral ethics, generosity, sense of humour and approachability. Born in N. Ireland, his family immigrated to Canada when he was 7 years old. He had an extraordinary career ranging from coach driver to tour escort, travel agency owner, rodeo photographer, airline sales as a VP in both passenger and cargo, Tour Operator, Real Estate Broker and Councillor for the Town of Didsbury.
Family and friends are invited to gather in Celebration of Mel’s Life at the Didsbury Memorial Complex in the Multi-Purpose Room on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rosebud Health Foundation, PO Box 962, Didsbury, AB, T0M 0W0, which provides services in Didsbury and surrounding areas.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Robert Melvin Crothers February 23rd 2022..
