GAINFORTH, Robert “Bob” – of Wooler, age 88 passed away Wednesday August 31, 2022 peacefully under the care of the staff at Crown Ridge Retirement Home. Bob was born February 10, 1934, son of the late Kenneth and Clara (Coltman). Bob was proceeded in death by his wife Margaret (Petrie) of 59 years. Sister Norma (Wadsworth), brothers Lloyd and Max. Bob (dad) is survived by his daughter Marcia (Rick) of Wooler and David of Peterborough; grandson Tyler (Dee) and several nieces and nephews. Everyone who knew Bob felt his big heart and giving nature. Bob was an avid hunter, loved his vintage tractors and stock car racing, and sharing his knowledge of the family history. Bob “grandpa” will be missed especially by Tyler his grandson who proudly continues to work the Gainforth farm. Tyler appreciated the knowledge and teachings he received, to ensure that the Gainforth legacy continues for generations to come. A celebration of life will be held at McPhail’s Cemetery on October 22, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to join the family in a small Memorial Service, and time to share your stories of Bob after.
