C’est avec une grande tristesse que la famille annonce son décès à la maison, le vendredi 16 décembre 2022 à l’âge de 64 ans, à la suite d’un bref et vif combat contre le cancer. Fils de feu Lucien et de feu Irène (née Cousineau) Giroux. Époux bien-aimé de Marie-Marthe Giroux (née Proulx). Cher Papa de Mathieu (Shelby), Janelle et Amélie (Joshua). Cher Papi de François et Isabelle. Frère de Pierre (Bernadette), Pierrette Turner (Allan) et Lise Renaud (Raymond). Prédécédé par ses frères Gilles (feu Lorianne) et André (feu Judy). Il sera également regretté par plusieurs nièces, neveux, parents, amis, ainsi que les employés de Bélanger Ford où il a travaillé pendant 33 ans. Il les considérait tous comme famille plus que collègues. Pour ceux qui le connaissaient, il était un homme avec beaucoup d’émotions mais peu de mots. Il était très généreux, farceur, échantillonneur de desserts et passionné du golf. Papa avait une grande fierté pour sa famille et son travail. La famille recevra parents et amis à la Coopérative funéraire, 222, boulevard Lasalle, Sudbury, le vendredi 23 décembre de 9 h 30 à 11 h. Un service funéraire suivra dans la chapelle à 11 h 00.
It is with great sadness the family announces his passing at home, on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the age of 64 years, after a brief and difficult battle with cancer. Son of the late Lucien and late Irène (née Cousineau) Giroux. Loving husband to Marie-Marthe Giroux (née Proulx). Beloved father to Mathieu (Shelby), Janelle and Amélie (Joshua). Cherished Papi to François and Isabelle. Brother to Pierre (Bernadette), Pierrette Turner (Allan) and Lise Renaud (Raymond). Predeceased by his brothers Gilles (late Lorianne) and André (late Judy). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends including the employees at Bélanger Ford where he worked for the past 33 years. He considered them all as his family more than his colleagues. For those who knew Robert, he was a man of few words and big emotions. He was a very generous man, a jokester, a professional dessert sampler and passionate about golf. Papa took great pride in his family and his work. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Boulevard, Sudbury, on Friday, December 23 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 am.
