Robert Elwood Collins – of Knoxville, TN passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the age of 93. Robert was a veteran of the US Navy serving four years during the Korean War. He retired as a Sergeant from the Tennessee Highway Patrol after 30 years. He was also an avid farmer and gardener.
Preceded in death by wife, Geraldine Martin Collins; parents, Fred and Katherine Collins; brothers, George, Ray Mack, and Frankie; sisters, Nancy Turpin and Hillis Thomas.
Survived by son, David (Karen Collins; grandchildren, Taylor Collins (Dylan Matlock), Randall (Michele) Moore; great granddaughter, Evan Moore; brother, Donnie (Brenda) Collins; sisters, Sue (Edd) Bowlin and Linda Bowers.
Family and friends will meet 12:45 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at East TN Veteran Cemetery-Lyons View for a 1:00 PM graveside service.
