ELLIOTT, Robert Douglas (Doug)
It is with extreme sadness that the family of Doug Elliott announces his passing on January 18, 2022, in his 76th year.
Born September 12th, 1946 to Janet and William Elliott, he enjoyed a very close bond with his siblings, David Elliott (Martha) and Elaine Douglas (Robert). Much loved by his children, Michael Elliott (Nancy), Leigh Bartlett (Geoff), Scott Quinn (AJ) and Heather Quinn (David). Loving Grandfather of Richard, Emmett, Laura, Connor, Jayden, Tyler, Macayla, Sophie and Kaiden.
Dad began his career working at Household Finance Corp. He worked there more than 25 years, winning many sales awards. He then went on to work in sales roles with different companies until he retired. He treasured the friendships he made with his colleagues and maintained a lot of them right up until his death.
Dad enjoyed being active, both in sports and his hobbies. He served as President of the Kinsmen Club of Burlington, he joined euchre clubs, played on mushball teams, curling leagues, made beautiful woodworking projects, always had a passion for golfing, skiing and in the last few years, walking.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dad’s life will be held this spring.
