Long time Lake Cowichan resident Bob Godfrey passed away peacefully at home on December 8, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Lil Godfrey and is survived by his daughter Terri Wood and her two children, Trisha and Myles, and his son Reid Godfrey, and his son Sterling. Also survived by his daughter in law, Sherry Godfrey.
Bob was raised in Lake Cowichan and graduated from LCHS in 1956. He went on to become a heavy duty mechanic and welder and was employed in the forest industry until he started his own business, Bob Godfrey Welding, in the 1970’s which became a big success. Eventually he went on to do inspections for the provincial government. Like the energizer bunny, he never quit working.
The family would like to express our gratitude to Ed and Audrey James and Rod and Karen Peters for always being there for Bob. There are numerous others deserving of our thanks, you know who you are, and we are very grateful.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.

We offer our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Robert Clement Godfrey March 28 1938
