Rita Thibault 1926 2022

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the
peaceful passing of Rita Thibault, 96, of Moncton, on Thursday July
28, 2022 at K.E. Spencer Memorial Home. Born in Moncton, she
was the daughter of the late Gérard and Elizabeth (Gould)
Arsenault.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren,
great-granddaughter, one brother, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces
and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by five sisters and
two brothers.
Also known as Mom, Mém, Mim, Mama-Zita, and CEO of
the Turtle Club, Rita always liked to make people
laugh.
She cared deeply and was always there to lend a helping hand
to those she loved.
Family reunions were her ultimate joy. She was devoted to her
family, whom she loved unconditionally.
Rita began her working career as a hairdresser and then
worked at the Bibliothèque Champlain on the
Université de Moncton campus until her
retirement.
By request, there will be no visitation and no funeral
service. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
In memory of Rita, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society or the K.E.
Spencer Memorial Home would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are
in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre,
Moncton (858-1900).
