Obituary of Richard William Gibson
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022, in his 64th year following a brief battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Douglas and Shirley Gibson of Plainfield. Richard was the caring and devoted father of Adam (Kate) Gibson and was predeceased by his wife Lynne Ann Gibson (Brown) and son Jason Gibson. He is survived by his loving partner Jenny Woods and siblings Sharleen Plestid (Lynn), Murney Gibson (Wendy), and David Gibson (Kim). He was predeceased by his brother Robert Gibson. Papa Moustache was beloved by his grandchildren Alice, Norah, Benny, and Dahlia. Also adored and loved by his stepdaughters Mandie (Jake), Sammi (Dakota), Jamie (Evan), and Danni (Andrew). He enjoyed anything with a motor, including homes and bikes, and lately with Jenny expanded to airplanes and cruise ships. Richard was a calm and hardworking man, patient, thoughtful, kind, and wise. When the world got too noisy he could always sleep. He was the honest and respected proprietor of Gibson Sales and Service transport repair. Richard loved country music, fast cars, sour candy, and making the world’s best pancakes.
