“Rhonda” Lynne McQuaid
1947-2022
On Wednesday, June 1st, after a life demonstrating
perseverance, acceptance, courage, and loyalty, Rhonda McQuaid,
peacefully surrendered to an eternal life of serenity. Devoted wife to
Carl McQuaid, cherished mother to Mae Bovyer (Roger), Nancy Monaghan
(Moe), Carl Jr. (deceased in infancy), and Carlos McQuaid. Much loved
Grammie to Brandon and Brett Bovyer, Shayna Kelly (Jared), Amber,
Louis and Tyson Monaghan, and blessed beyond measure to have met her
great grandson Owen, only hours before her passing. She was the
beloved daughter of the late Borden and Elsie Myers, sister to Nancie
Stevenson, and the late Bordy Jr and Dale Myers. Fondly remembered by
her devoted and treasured confidant, who Mom got to call best friend,
Isabel Anderson, and by the many staff at Beach Grove Home, who wore
their wings on the inside as they provided exceptional care and
compassion, while more often than not, going above and beyond the job
description. In Mom’s memory, because the Beach Grove
activities staff brought so much joy to her over the years,
contributing to this fund would be appreciated or to the MS Society of
PEI, “whatever” you feel called to do, and when having your
next cup of coffee, raise your cup and toast her!
Her earthly remains have been entrusted with Hennessey
Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for cremation.
No visitation or funeral by personal request.
A graveside service will take place with family and
friends.
