1929-2022
Reta Lutes of Riverview passed away on Sunday, October 2,
2022, at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Newton Heights, she was the
daughter of the late George E. and Josephine (Payne) Powers.
She was the last charter member of Uplands Baptist Church and a
Dominion & Provincial life member of the WMS.
She will be dearly missed by daughters Belinda Copp (Lewis
Jardine), Wendy Newman-Carter, Beth Roundell (Rob), son, Neil (Anne),
her eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five great great
grandchildren, sister, Mildred Killam-Flood (Herbert), brother,
Gilbert Powers as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her
parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William C. Lutes a son,
David and a sister, Katie Flood.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview (869-2007) on Tuesday from 6-8 PM, a service celebrating her
life will take place from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 5,
2022 at 1 PM with Rev. Andy Scott officiating. The interment will
follow in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Reta’s
memory can be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation
or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated
by the family.
