Renee passed away peacefully with her granddaughters Tami and Karen by her side, on Monday April 11, 2022 at Riverview Gardens in her 94th year.
Born in London, England on May 11, 1928 to parents Lillian (Lay) and Frederick John Evans. Renee immigrated to Canada as a war bride when she married the late Bill Smith(1986). Sister of the late Bill and Lilly.
Mother of the late Jean Ashley (2021)(late Douglas), John (Vicki) Smith and Bill (Jann) Smith.
Grandmother of Tami (Mike) Gillier, Karen (Jim) Travis, James Ashley, Stephen (Jennifer) Ashley, Samantha Smith, Allison (Kevin) Freeman, Nicholas (Katy) Smith, Mathew Smith, Shawn Smith (Sabrina).
Great Grandmother of Jason Gillier(Chantelle), Jonathan Gillier (Nicole), Peter Gillier, Emilee Gillier-Fysh (Jeffery), Jordan Ashley-Ost (Mitchel Morreau), Kathryn Travis, Douglas Ashley, Erin Juteram (Daniel), Jocelyn Kiryluk-Ashley, Tyler Ashley and Connor LaCourse.
Great Great Grandmother of Olivia Gillier, Victoria Gillier, Jasper Juteran and baby Gillier-Fysh arriving in May.
