Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Bluewater Health, Raymond James Cox passed away at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Lynn. Loving father of Jim (Kris) Cox. Cherished grandfather of Curtis Mitchell, Bryce (Michelle) Cox, Matthew Cox and Andrew Cox. Treasured great-grandfather of Liam. Dear brother-in-law of David Vanderburg and Judy Mitchell (Bob). Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Edith, by his in-laws Ron Vanderburg, Danny Vanderburg and Janice Alward. Raymond was a dedicated member of Huron Baptist Church. He was employed for 49 years as an operator assistant at Lanxess. Special thank you to the staff of Marshall Gowland Manor, especially the PSWs, for their loving care. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Huron Baptist Church, 1285 Michigan Ave, Sarnia, on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please).
