Preston, Ruth Naomi
Ruth passed away suddenly at her home in Meaford on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the age of 75.
Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on April 8, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Uriah and Harriet (nee Bateman) Giles.
Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Hugh Preston (2016). She was the loving mother to Alysen. She was also a dear friend to many, and those who knew her loved her. They loved her humor, her kindness, and the way she could offer comfort in times of need. She is survived by her four grandchildren, Phoenix, Titan, Royal, and Scarlett, who hold dear memories of their ‘Granny Bird’. One of those memories is the love that was shared between Ruth and Hugh. It was a love that was meant to last an eternity.
Ruth loved gardening and decorating, and she also cherished her cat Mokie. Knowing that Ruth and Hugh are now together again is offering some comfort to our family during this difficult time.
