Phyllis Puppy Finnila 1949 2022

Obituary of Phyllis Finnila
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Phyllis “Puppy” Finnila on July 28, 2022.
Phyllis was born and raised in Creighton Mine, Ontario to Harry and Lena Maloney. She will be lovingly remembered as “Such a Lady” who enjoyed reading, baking, going to Ottawa Senator’s games, following Coronation Street, and spending her summers at the Code’s Cottage in Norway Bay, Quebec with her family.
Phyllis was predeceased by her loving husband Juhani “John” (1998) as well as her parents Harry (1986) and Lena Casey (1988). She is survived by her loving sisters Donna Foley (John) and Sandra-Ann Maloney (Mervyn) and leaves behind her special nieces Cathy Code (Mike) and Janet Tysick (Randy), nephew Dennis Foley (Christine) and great-nieces Brianna, Alina, and Alyssa. Phyllis’ adored “found family” the Baumanns, she was like a second mother to Ewa (Artur) and wonderful Auntie to Klaudia and Kamila. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Eila Hughson, her Finnila nephews, nieces and many cousins and friends.
As per Puppy’s request a private family service has taken place at Highland Park Cemetery, Carp Ontario.
As an expression of sympathy donations would be appreciated to the May Court Hospice Care, 114 Cameron Ave, Ottawa, Ont. K1S 0X1.
“May her Memory be for a Blessing”
