Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Phyllis Seed at the wonderful age of 94. She passed peacefully with her daughter Marlene Gerrard by her side and in her own bed. Sadly missed by her daughter Brenda Ogden and Larry Seed ( Debra). Also loving their Gran is Kristina , Blair, Brooke, Graeme, Laura ( Philippe) and Kimberly ( Rick). The joys of her life will miss her greatly Hunter, Peyton, Trinity, Elianne and Emelie. Special thoughts for mom’s sister Lil ( Harold) and brother-in-law Ron. There are way to many Nieces and nephews to mention but mom loved them all and their spouses and children . She loved knowing about your lives and the visits, cards and phone calls.Mom was ready to be with Dad, Steve Seed, to whom she
was married to for almost 70 years before he passed. She missed him everyday. I am sure there were lots of hugs and
kisses when she got to heaven.
Her 94 years on earth were busy. She was raised in Toronto and somehow found a farmer to marry. Dad said he took her
off the shelf. She learned to drive a tractor, milk cows, grow crops and raise kids side by side with dad. She was an award
winning baker, famous for butter tarts and zucchini loaf, an amazing quilter, and knitter. Mom and dad square danced, always went to the plowing match, enjoyed the cottage and spent a few winters in Florida also travelled from Nova Scotia to BC visiting people all along the way. Gambling on the penny machines and bingo and cards with the Creemore seniors were her pastimes. Moms love of chocolates was something unfortunately she tried to share with us all daily. Mom had a lot of friends. She always kept in touch with old and new friends. She always appreciated good neighbours and was one herself.
The wonderful care she received from staff and residents at Good Samaritan Senior Complex made her last few years
safe and happy. Thank you!
It is impossible to sum up a life as full and long as her life . Suffice it to say she was a good person, loved by many and will be greatly missed
There will be a celebration of life August at the legion on Alliston. Details to follow.
