Phyllis was born in Canterbury, Kent, England. Her childhood was filled with trips to the sea and absolute happiness with her family. During WWII, she met and later married Charles Buchanan a Canadian Solider. After the war as a young war-bride Phyllis took the long and incredibly brave journey across the Atlantic on the Queen Mary, eventually settling in Stratford where she and Charles grew their family. She was a gentle and caring woman with a contagious laugh who dedicated her life to her family, and never lost her love for all things British, often spending weekends being driven to all her favorite British Stores
She is survived by her Children; Sandra Wreford (Arthur), Andrea Marshall, Harvey Buchanan, Michele Buchanan (Maxine Smith). Grandchildren; Dwayne Wreford (Tari), Tara Chamberlain (Rob), Derek Marshall (Joanne), Kyle Marshall (Lindsay) and Meghan Marshall. Great Grandchildren; Kurt Wreford (Kym), Bryce Chamberlain (Raisa), Brody Chamberlain (Marissa), Tyler Marshall, Liam Marshall, Elle Schwindt, Dominic Marshall, Maren Marshall, Miles Marshall, Paige Marshall and Sister-in-law Jean Buchanan. Predeceased by her Husband Charles H Buchanan, Son-in-law Gerry Marshall, Parents William and Lottie Page, Sisters Joan Gadd (Fred), Poppy Pullman (Sid) Brother John Page (Gwen) Sister-in-law Isabelle Acheson (Howard) Brother-in-law Raymond Buchanan.
Phyliss had the ability to make her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren feel like they were her favourite, she had an extraordinary capacity for love. She would often remark what a good life she and Charles had and how fortunate they were.
