Obituary of Petronella Huberdina Brull
Peacefully with her family by her side, on Friday, January 14th, 2022, Petronella “Nellie” Brull (nee Janssen) in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late Theodore Brull (2007). Cherished mother of Peter (Maryann), Anthony (Jan), Linda (Peter) Fisher, Mary Ann Van Meer and Frank (Karen). Devoted Oma of 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Survived by her brother Frank and sister Tonia, of Woodstock. Nellie will be remembered by her family and friends within Canada and Holland.
Nellie was born on January 6th, 1933 in Ooltgensplaat, Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada in 1956 with her husband and eldest son Peter. While in Canada she worked hard alongside her husband taking care of their chicken farm and raising her children. Her family was her life. She had a passion for knitting, crocheting and a love for chocolate.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Woodstock, ON at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to Watford Quality Care or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to acknowledge the special care the staff at Watford Quality Care provided to Nellie. It doesn’t go unnoticed, and they are forever grateful for all you have done for her.
