Obituary
With much love and great sadness in our hearts, the family announces the passing of Peter Zamonsky, on September 4, 2022 at the age of 100. Peter was born to Steve & Emily Zamonsky on January 6, 1922 in the RM of Rossburn, Manitoba. In 1927, he moved with his parents to Rose Ridge District of Rural Grandview. He received his education at Rose Ridge School and then stayed at home to help on the family farm during the summer months and worked at Ontario pulp camps and Duck Mountain lumber mills in the winter months.
In 1948 he married Rose Marie Cottes in Holy Eucharist Church at Riding Park, Manitoba. In addition to farming, he was trustee of Rose Ridge School for 9 years. He retired from farming in 1982 and moved into the town of Grandview. In his retirement, he thoroughly loved playing pool with friends at the Drop-In Centre and having daily coffee at the Friendly Corner Bake Shop. He also enjoyed carpentry, fishing, traveling, his garden and flowers. His greatest pride and joy in life was his family; his children, grandchildren, and great-children.

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
Services to be announced and held at a later date.
