Obituary
Payne, Peter – Passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Georgetown Hospital, with family by his side. Peter, in his 96th year, beloved husband of the late Eloise Payne (nee Quinn). Loving father of Barbara, John (Sandra), Peter and father-in-law to Maureen. Predeceased by son David and daughter-in-law Kim. Cherished grandfather of Mary, Alison, Linda, Matthew, Catherine, Ashley and Amber, and great grandfather to Amber, Aiden, Gabriel, Mila, Kenzie, Preston, Logan, Evelyn, Madeleine, and Alice. Peter will be missed by his furry companions Fred the cat, and dogs Chloe and Bubo. Peter had a fondness for things that moved, be they cars or planes, he was always up for a game of euchre or to join in watching the Blue Jays. He will be dearly missed around the camp fire. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 1:00 pm until a service in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment Belfountain Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Erin Legion, 12 Dundas Street E., Erin.
