Obituary of Ms. Pearl Dean
Pearl Rebecca Dean was born May 31st 1956 in Kingston Jamaica of East Indian parentage. She leaves behind 5 sister and 4 brothers. She attended Alpha Academy High School, the College of Arts Science and Technology University and the University of the West indies where she majored in Accounting and Management Studies. After the successful completion of her university studies, she worked for several years in Jamaica with the ICD Group of Companies as an Accountant.
In 1985, she emigrated to Canada to join her other older siblings. In Canada, she continued her successful accounting career with several private firms until she decided to change her career and join the Toronto District School Board in 2003 as an Educational Assistant for children with medium to severe disabilities. She had found her true calling and enjoyed her job very much until her retirement in 2021. She was well liked by both staff and students.
She attended Malvern Christian Assembly Church for many years where she continued showing her love for children as a volunteer in the Children’s Ministry. Pearl will always be remembered for her generosity, kindness and compassion and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
