It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Paul John Goudie announce his sudden passing on March 12 at his home in Labrador City at the age of 72. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children Anna & Darren, Charlene & Terry, Angelina & Paul and Jeradan; his grandchildren Sydney, Nolan, Ally, Paul, Wayne, Wyatt, Carter, and Cameron; special family members Margaret (Lee), Muriel, Sharon, Randy, Lori, Billy, Donna, Carl, Debbie, Joe, Kirk, Connie, Denise, Kevin, Oscar, Shelly, Duane, Bev, Jerry, Kathy, Todd, Rosemary, and Audrey. A large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family who held a special place in his heart and his beloved bulldog companion princess Lilly!
Paul was predeceased by his best friend and daughter Jan, his mother and father Sidney & Dorothy Goudie, Dale (the mother of Anna, Jan & Charlene) and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Lockie and Gerald Dyson.
Family visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley – Goose Bay on Thursday, March 17th from 7 to 9. Public visitation will be held on Friday, March 18th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 2p.m. at the United Church in Happy Valley – Goose Bay with Reverend Wayne Blackwood officiating and the service will also be live-streamed. Interment to follow at the United Church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Paul’s memory to either the Happy Valley Goose Bay SPCA in Happy Valley Goose Bay or Faith’s Haven Animal Shelter in Wabush.
