Obituary
LAVIGNE; PAUL
If you knew him, you laughed with him. Paul Lavigne was well known for his sense of humour and his generosity of spirit.
His family will hold him in their hearts forever-his wife of 39 years, Darlene Elder, daughter Alynne, son-in-law Miles Collyer and granddaughter Sidney; his siblings Gary, Ron, Eric and Annette-their spouses and children; plus a myriad of cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and an extensive group of friends.
Many of those friends were scuba diving buddies and others were drinking buddies as well as those he worked with over the years.
Paul worked for 20 years as a warehouse supervisor in Toronto before moving north to Severn Falls where he owned a General Store with his wife, Darlene.
Paul was very social and loved selling-whether it was timeshares, ice cream, cars or T-shirts. He was also involved with the Kiwanis Club of Orillia for a number of years and valued the friends he met there. He retired in January 2022 and was looking forward to more travel but it wasn’t to be-cancer hit in April and it held on until his passing December 1, at home with his family. He was 71 years young.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. No flowers please, but donations to the Kiwanis Club of Orillia will be greatly appreciated. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com.
