In loving memory of Patsy Wong-Perlaky, who passed away at home on August 20, 2022.
Born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Canada in 1964, attended McGill University graduated with a degree in microbiology, worked in her field at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal and later at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Patsy met her beloved husband Alex in Toronto and spent many happy years together until his death; After Alex passed away, Patsy shared her condo apartment with her dad and took care of him until his death in 2021; Patsy provided care for her mother May and made frequent trips to visit her at the long-term care facility.
Patsy suffered with a long-term illness controlled with medication, some episodes were difficult to cope especially in a world that not always sensitive to her condition and needs; Despite her health adversity, she continued to work hard and do well financially, she successfully managed and growth her investment portfolio in real estate; Patsy liked to help the poor and underprivileged people in the society, she is donating generously from her estate to the following charity organizations:
1) SISTERING on Bloor Street West Toronto.
2) Covenant House Toronto.
3) The Salvation Army in support of the Florence Booth House in Toronto.
Patsy will be cremated, a memorial service and reception to be scheduled later.
