Patricia Pester (Bennett), age 97, peacefully passed away, on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Hillside Manor in the township of Perth East.
Lovingly remembered by her children; Kearen Pfender (Robert), Richard Pester (Noreen) and Norman Pester (Ingrid). Sadly missed by her sister, Adrienne Thomas, of England. She leaves behind her many grandchildren; Peter Toccalino (Kyra), Angela Toccalino (Ivan), Kayleigh Baker (Jarred), Stephen Pester (Carmen), Corina Solodky (Sam), Tammy Bahr (Mark), Ronnie Moe, David Pester (Crystal) and Melanie Pester (Dan); along with fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Patricia is predeceased by her husband David, and two daughters, Celia and Ann.
Patricia was born in Great Britain. In her youth, she served with St. John Ambulance and lived through the second world war; immigrating to Canada with her family in 1966. As a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother; she knitted beautifully, read avidly, told the best stories and brought smiles to faces, with her dry and quirky sense of humour. She loved cats and cats loved her!
Family would like to thank the staff at Hillside Manor for their involvement and care of mother. She loved the staff.
Cremation has taken place and a small family gathering will be held at a later date.
