Patricia “Patsy” Ann Prince wife of Thomas Prince of Miramichi, NB, passed away with suitable resistance (the good fight) surrounded by her family at home on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the age of 72. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Marjorie (Walsh) Kingston. She worked for the late Dr. William Prince as an Optometrist’s Assistant. Patsy enjoyed playing sports especially badminton, volleyball and softball and played cards with family and friends. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Patsy brought energy and an undeniable presence that, in its purest form, expressed her love for all those who sat with her. Blessed with incredible friends from her high school years, Patsy and her highly cherished ‘girls club’ took on the world with zest, time and again. Unafraid to be herself, and unlike anyone else could, Patsy made others smile.
Besides her husband, Patsy is survived by daughters: Tammy Prince (Stephen Maltby) of Rothesay, NB; Krishna Prince (Kyle O’Shea) and Karly Prince (Todd Creamer) both of Miramichi, NB; sister, Heather Murphy of Miramichi, NB; brothers, John Kingston (Joy) of Vancouver Island, BC and Mark Kingston (Sharon) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Alexandra, Sophie, Koby, Kohen and Ethan as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Patsy is predeceased by infant daughter, Taya.
At Patsy’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held from Miramichi Cemetery.
In Patsy’s memory, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or to the NB Extra Mural. Messages of condolence can be sent through our website: www.bellsmeadows.com
