Peacefully, surrounded by her children, Patricia Ann “Pat” (Tracey) Emerson, of Richmond passed away at University Hospital in London on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of the Late Dale Emerson (2003). Proud and loving mother of Tim (Tami-Lee) of Vienna, Kathy (Loui) of Aylmer, Ken (Cheryl) of Toronto, Linda (Brian) of Nashville and Kelly (Joe) of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother of Joshua (Charissa), Tyler (Brooke), Amy, Madailèin (Anthony), Ronan, Bailey and great-grandmother of Bentley and Emerson. Dear sister of Barbara Bishop of New Minas, Nova Scotia and Claire (Kay) Gillespie of Collingwood, ON. Pat is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Archibald and Sadie Mae (Sanford) Tracey, brothers Bill and Jim and sister Irene.
Trained as a Registered Nurse, she took time off to raise her children and help on the family tobacco farm, before resuming her career at Terrace Lodge in Aylmer, ON where she worked until her retirement.
In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A private family graveside service will be held in her beloved home of Nova Scotia at a later date. Memorial donations to the Diabetes Canada or London Health Sciences Foundation Patient Assistance for Cancer Treatment Accommodations would be appreciated by the Emerson family.
