Obituary
In loving memory of our dear mother, granna, sister, aunt, friend to so many, and proud member of the ‘hole in one’ club.
Staying true to herself, Mom courageously faced her cancer with strength, grace, humor and love while still finding a way to put her family and friends first. In the end, she was surrounded by her four children, her brother Paul, and her cousin Christine.
Mom is predeceased and reunited in heaven with her loving parents David and Rita Pym, her oldest brother Rick Pym, her in laws Gerry and Nell Keyzers, James Elliot, and many family and friends who have passed over the years. Mom was accompanied by one of our family’s dearest friends, Father Paul Cusack who held up the express train to heaven so they could travel together to the pearly gates.
Above all else, she is beloved and cherished by her four children. Her daughter Kerry (Jamie),and sons Scott, Stuart, and Robert (Giulia) will always remember her unconditional love, compassion, and her energetic joy. They will forever remember laughing uncontrollably with her, and her consistency in living her best life through diligence and hard work. She did everything and anything for her children. She is and always will be our hero.
She is survived by her beloved brother Paul Pym (Sandra), sister in laws Shirley and Loretta, and her brother in law Peter Keyzers and his wife Nancy Keyzers. Through the years, Mom had touched the hearts of so many friends and family. She loved the time she shared with Roland and Christine Kilchling, Liz, Richard and the Nannini family, Vivian, and the Elliot family. Mom was so blessed to have wonderful people in her life to share so many wonderful moments with. She also loved her extended Roque family and friends in Killarney, Ontario. Whether it was just a visit or the reunion, it was her favorite place to visit. She loved visits, emails, letters and phone calls from her extended Pym family in England. We can’t thank you all enough for the support.
Mom was immensely proud of her three grandchildren; Andrew, Brayden, and Julia. Granna loved having the kids for sleepovers, playing zim zam and horseshoes in the backyard, and being their biggest cheerleader watching their hockey games. She enjoyed each and every moment she spent with them.
Mom loved Christmas and getting to see her nieces, nephews and their families. She was so proud of her nieces; Jennifer (Graham), Rebecca, and Peggy. She loved catching up with her nephews; Matthew (Erin), Marc, Eric, and Dustin (Natalie). She loved spending Christmas Eve and Day with all of you, her favorite time of the year.
Mom is the strongest person we know, she has the kindest heart, she is a devoted Catholic parishioner who never missed a Sunday mass, she is the best person to have at a party; a social butterfly. To her children and many others, she was a saint, child of God of the first order, a great friend and person. To us, she is and always will be our hero.
Please join us in celebrating her life.
