Otto’s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Otto Pond announce his passing on Monday, July 18th,2022 at The Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook at the age of 66 years. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories is his wife; Alice and his sons; Bradley (Jennifer) and Mackenzie. His treasured grandchildren; Adalynne, Cameron and Huxley. Siblings; Evelyn (Rob), Effie (Terry), Eric (Judy), Eugene (Barbara), Edna (Robert), twin brother Oscar (Shelley), Janet (Derrick), Judy (Brian), Joan (Brian), Wilfred (Jean), Ivan (Sharon), Calvin (Nancy) and Baxter (Mary). Also left to mourn are numerous nieces, nephews other extended family and friends.
Otto was predeceased by his parents; Wilbert and Emma Jane Pond and parents-in-law; Francis and Catherine Griffin.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the ICU unit at Western Memorial Regional Hspt. and the doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit. Also a special thank you to Jean and Edna for being with us in dad’s last hours.
The family will be receiving family and friends at the United Church in Howley on Thursday, July 21st,2022 from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm also where the funeral service will take place on Friday, July 22nd,2022 at 11am with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating.
