Olive passed away in her 96th year at
Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home on Sunday, August 21,
2022. Olive was the beloved wife of William (Bill) James
Bleach (d. 2021) for 74 years; proud and loving mother of Bill Bleach
(d. 2014) and his partner Bonnie Bodkin; Anne Culham (David), Jane
Aubrey (Lew); cherished Nana of Bill Bleach (d. 2010), Jeff Bleach
(Erin), Elizabeth Duguay (Zac), Bruce Aubrey (Bryanne), David Aubrey
(Kyra) and Larissa Dussin (Michael); and great grandmother of Marcus,
James, Parker, Aria, Ellie, Quinn and Billy.
Olive worked in family-owned Guthrie’s Bakeries
Ltd. from the time she was a teenager until the early 70s.
She then joined Sears Canada where she worked until retirement. Olive
served for many years in the local church as a church organist and as
a leader in various ministries. She continued to serve into her 90s.
Olive had a heart of gold and was kind and loving to everyone she met.
She was a constant source of support and encouragement to her family
who simply adored her. Olive leaves behind a deep legacy of
faith and love.
A memorial service will be held at Mrs. G’s
Café, Lakeside Church, 7654 Conservation Road, Guelph,
Ontario on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions to Ontario Christian Gleaners (519-624-8245) or
Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home (519- 846-5359) would be
appreciated.
