Obituary of Norman de Melo
de Melo, Norman – It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Norman on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Norman, in his 59th year, was surrounded by his family, at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Loving husband of Christine for 25 years, and beloved father of Nicole, Emma (Derek), and Rachel. Son of Alice and the late Manuel de Melo. Dearest brother of William (Lisa) and Andy (Ana). Pre-deceased by brother David. Norman will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law Becky. Norman took pride as a Registered Dental Technician as the owner and operator of Sure-Tech Dental Laboratory. He worked meticulously and cared for his many clients for over 30 years. Norman was a great family man. He loved to be at home in the garden, out fishing, or on the soccer field as a coach or referee for the Georgetown Soccer Club. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Sunday, May 29, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Norman’s life will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. In memory contributions may be made to the Scott Mission, Toronto, to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASHH), or Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
