Peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley in his 73rd year. Grant, beloved husband of Mary Patricia (nee Emptage). Loving father of Brent and his wife Margaret of Elmwood, Thane and his wife Faith of Dobbinton, and Kimberly and her husband Larry Miller of Fergus. Proud grandfather of six grandchildren. Dear brother of Shawn and his wife Cathy.
Grant was a career correctional officer for 33 years, retiring in 2008. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered for being 10 feet tall and bullet proof.
Private family services will be held with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.
Memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
The Clock of Life
The clock of life is wound but once
And no man hath the power
To tell just when that clock may stop at late or early hour
