ln loving memory of Noreen Helen Talbot (nee Leblanc), 86 years old of Sudbury, Ontario who passed away suddenly on March 18th, 2022, at the Amberwood Suites.
She joins her husband Norman, predeceased in 1997, and her parents Helen and Edgar Leblanc also predeceased. Cherished mother of Neil, wife Denise and treasured grandmother of Joel, Justin and Josee (husband Curtis). Noreen was also predeceased by her brother Roland (wife Helen) of Sudbury, and her in-laws Richard Talbot predeceased (wife Monique), Colleen predeceased (husband Bill Cornthwaite), Placide Dubois predeceased (wife Diane), Claire (husband Louis Lamirande predeceased), Claude Talbot (wife Lina), lvan Talbot (wife Diane), Gerry Dubois (wife Suzanne), Marcel Dubois (wife Linda), Jeannette (husband Glen Polsky). She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Noreen was born on Whittaker Street, Sudbury and grew up with her sibling Roland completing high school in Sudbury. She worked at Carrington Lumber for 4 years, Cochrane Dunlop for 4 years and M. Loeb for 7 years. She then worked at Falconbridge Nickel Mines for 22.5 years, retiring in 2001.
She was a member of Christ the King Church, Our Lady of Hope Prayer Group. She had been a member of Branch 76 Minnow Lake Legion and Soar-Steelworkers of Retired Pensioners. She had been a member of local 2020, member of 6500 Steelworkers, CARP retired Pensioners, Caruso Club Lifetime member of Golden Age and a member of Renaissance Retired Professional People.
Noreen enjoyed traveling to sunny destinations and was an avid bowler of 5 and 10 pin for many years. She enjoyed planting and tending to beautiful flower beds at her cottage on McGregor Bay and later camping in Waterfalls Park and in Sturgeon Falls. She enjoyed dancing and getting together with friends. She was an extremely strong-willed lady and would get things done. She excelled at hosting friends and family with her tablescape being magazine worthy.
Her unique laughter will be missed.
