1947-2022
The family of Marion Nicoll (Drysdale) is saddened to announce her sudden passing on October 25, 2022 at the age of 75 years old. Born in Halifax NS, she was the daughter of the late Clarence William and May Lillian (Stevens) Drysdale.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister: Etta (Sam) Bowmaster; stepsons: Glenn (Pamela), Ken (Susan), and Stephen (Tammy); stepdaughter: Beth (Roland) Popadynetz; step-grandchildren: Jaimie, Ryan, Dana (Ashley) Popadynetz, Sydney (Farzad) Taheri, Amanda (Owen) Edmunds, Sarah, Nikita (Jody) Gylander, Cory Edmunds, Katie Yurkoski, and Emily; step-great-grandchildren: Andrew, Cassandra, Brooklynn, Carter, Connor, Remy, Ava, Kaelyn, Holten, Rhiannon, Weston, and Rumi. Brothers-in-law: Roger and Arthur; sisters-in-law: Edythe (Wayne) Cooke, Libby, Gertie, and Sheila; nephew William Lefort; niece: Reanna (Jason) Slaunwhite; great-nephew: Shayne Harvey; great-nieces: Samantha Harvey, Raven and Tallyn Lefort; several step-nieces and step-nephews.
Aside from her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband of 29 years Douglas; sister: Robin (Drysdale) Pye; father-in-law Gerald and mother-in-law Dorothy (MacDonnell); brothers-in-law: Gerald, Frances, Bill, Ken Smallshaw: sister-in-law: Ann Smallshaw.
Marion will always be remembered as a kind, generous and loving person. She did what she could everyday to put a smile on someone’s face. It could be a simple hello, a piece of candy or genuinely asking how they are doing. She believed that a small gesture of kindness could change a person’s day and it gave her great joy and purpose.
A private service will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at 10:00 am at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert. Interment will be held at a later date at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Mount Uniacke, NS.
