Obituary
Nick, Uncle Nick, or Papa as we all knew him was born in Armstrong, B.C. to Hilda and Norman Lunzmann. Nick is predeceased by both his parents. He grew up in the Yankee Flats and Gleneden area with his four siblings: Marie (Scott) Greenwood, Shirley (Dick) Ladner, Carol (Derrick) Keehn and Ernie (Sheila) Lunzmann.
Nick started work in 1978 at Canoe Plywood Plant and worked there until his passing. He was married in 1981 to his wife Karen Lunzmann (nee Bruce). Together they had two sons: Gerald (Jess) and Tyler (Shantelle) and then six grandkids: Kara, Leland, Kaydince and Oliver and step grandkids Sebastian and Paisley.
Nick was a hard worker, reliable and had a great sense of humour. He loved to tease and pull funny pranks. He spent many hours at the lake; if it wasn’t at work, it was at play. Nick loved all the family gatherings and crafty things he participated in at the lake, whether it be driftwood benches, concrete statues or crazy bird houses. He could fix anything one way or another, clocks and alarms were his specialty.
There are no words to describe Nick’s kind and caring manner. His sudden passing will leave us all with a hole in our hearts and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Nick requested that there be no service.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Nicholas Norman Lunzmann December 12 1959 October 16 2022 (age 62)..
