Brawn, Nellie Lorraine (Nason)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Nellie Brawn of South Oromocto Lake, NB announce her passing at Hospice House Fredericton on September 5, 2022. Nellie was born in Tracy, NB on April 20, 1925 to the late Elsie (Nason) and Justus Nason and was the loving wife of the late Hazen Brawn.
Nellie is survived by two daughters; Darlene Carr and Lorraine (Dale) Hamilton, three sons; Eric , Avery (Louann) and Keith (Ann Marie) Brawn, seven grandchildren; Sonia (Danny), Katie (Josh) Jeff (Gisele), Marla (Mark), Duane (Carrie), Alex, and Sarah (Jackson), thirteen great grandchildren; Tanner, Jenna, Emily, Kaila, Benjamin, Mason, Sierra, Kian, Aiden, Ethan, Dawson, Austin, and Sadie, and two great great grandchildren, Ryder and Holden, several nieces and nephews, her special friend Pearl Nowlan, and three sisters-in-law Rose Brawn, Doris Robison and Frances Lingley.
Nellie was a kind and wonderful lady, she was an avid outdoors adventurist. Her family was the most important thing to her, and she was always ready for any adventures. She was a member of the Tracy United Baptist Church. Nellie drove the school van in her community until she retired, her and Hazen looked after the local children for over 25 years by getting them safely to school each day in all weather.
Along with her parents and husband, Nellie was also predeceased by a son Raymond, two sisters; Pearl Allen and Vergie Wilson, and her two brothers; Eugene and Russell Nason.
Family and friends are invited to the Tracy United Baptist Church in Tracy, NB for Visitations on Saturday September 10, 2022, from 11-1 pm. The Funeral Service will follow at 1pm with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. Because of family allergies, the family would ask for no additional flowers be sent. Burial will be at the South Oromocto Lake Cemetery following the ceremony. The family would appreciate any donations in Nellie’s name to the South Oromocto Lake Road Cemetery or the Tracy United Baptist Church.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the compassionate care given by her extra mural nurses, Dr. Andrew Richardson, and the care from Hospice House Fredericton. Also the wonderful ladies Chianne and Naomi from Integrity Home Health Services. As well as the professional care from Rev. Maurice Hatfield and Sunbury Funeral Home.
