Obituary of Muriel Teetzel
TEETZEL, Jessie ‘Muriel’ (Shoemaker) –
A resident of Highgate, Muriel Teetzel passed away, surrounded by her family, at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the age of 91.
Born in Blenheim, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jessie (nee Pickering) Shoemaker.
Beloved wife of 68 years to James “Cardie” Teetzel.
Dearly missed by her two daughters, Colleen (Roy) Glassford, Brenda (John R) Johnston, and son Kevin (Cindy) Teetzel.
Grandma of Crystal (Chad), Ainsley (Chris); Eamon (Janelle), Devon, Owen; Dacre and Fairan
Great-grandma of Louise, Joanna and Duncan.
She is predeceased by her 5 siblings.
Muriel enjoyed quilting and baking butter & pecan tarts and chocolate chip cookies for her family. She was a member of the Women’s Institute and the Keeper of the Tweedsmuir History Books. Muriel loved to watch baseball & curling. She will be deeply missed by her family.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all of the staff of Riverview Gardens for their excellent care and compassion for mom.
Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 10:00 am until the Service time at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
